Dr. Mark Rodeghier

Dr. Rodeghier has been the President and Scientific Director of the J.Allen Hynek Center for UFO Studies since 1986. His well rounded scientific background in sociology and astrophysics in addition to being a prorogue of none other than the late J. Allen Hynek, has placed him front and center in the field of Ufology for more than two decades. His dissertation "Factors Influencing Attitudes Toward Controversial Research: Quantitatively Disentangling the Social from the Scientific," explores the attitudes toward the study of extraterrestrial intelligence by the scientific community. His other publications include numerous articles in IUR and the Journal of UFO Studies, UFO Reports Involving Vehicle Interferences: a Catalog and Data Analysis, and others.

As one of the most prominent figures in Ufology today Dr. Rodeghier has appeared in nearly every major documentary, hundreds of news articles and television/radio interviews. Revered by UFO research colleagues and skeptics alike, it is an honor to have him participate in this forum.
